- Are there private change rooms?
Yes! There is a section at the rear of the function room that we are able to section off as a change area - nice and private :)
- What if I do not use all my tokens?
Each token is only valid for that event and cannot be redeemed at future swaps. If you cannot find an item for your last token, we suggest you grab something anyway and bring it to the next swap!
- Can I buy my tickets at the door on the night?
Yes, unless we sell out in advance therefore, we strongly recommend you pre-purchase. Some of our venues have maximum capacity limits and if we reach this limit through online ticket purchasing then no more tickets will be sold at the door. You wouldn’t want to miss out! If you want to take your chances please note that we only accept cash (no cards) at the door.
- What happens if I don’t find clothes of similar value?
Remember, style is priceless. At the Brisbane Clothing Exchange ‘365’ swap events you will be looking for those special pieces which will bring out the best in your style. Your aim is to look like a million dollars for $25. If you have a designer piece that you aren’t happy to exchange for a high street piece, then bring it to ‘Designer Addiction’ to be valued. Keep in mind ladies, now is not the time or place for fashion separation anxiety!
- Why don't you hang clothes according to size?
We get asked this a lot and it is for a few reasons. Firstly, many of the items that are brought to BCE swaps have had the tags/labels removed so we can't tell what size they are. Secondly, a large proportion of ladies out there are different sizes depending on brand and, also when it comes to top half vs bottom half of their body. For instance, you may be a size 10 at Sportsgirl, but a size 12 at Portmans. Similarly, some ladies are a size 10 in tops and a size 14 in bottoms. Lastly, we have found that no matter if a garment has a size tag on it, if you like it, you'll try it on anyway. Therefore, we organise garments either by colour or type - dresses, trousers, tops etc.
- Do you have a cloakroom?
Yes! We ask all swappers to check their other items into the cloakroom before the swap commences. This way, the swap area is kept as neat as possible and your personal belongings aren't mistaken for a swappable item!
