What To Swap:
• Items that are clean and folded or ironed.
• Items that are likely to be valued by other fashionistas.
• Items that are in good, immediately wearable condition – not smelly, stained, faulty etc.
• Items that you no longer desire or wear but that someone else will lurve!
• Items that are not obviously dated and not likely to be considered 'trendy' anymore. We reserve the right to decline items on these grounds.
• We cannot exchange intimate apparel like underwear, swimwear, or anything that we deem unworthy during the screening process…and we will screen your offerings very carefully. Please bring quality to receive quality!
Surrender to Us:
• Clothes
• Shoes
• Belts
• Handbags
• Hats
• Jewellery sets - admission at the discretion of the event manager
• Other accessories
• Those shoes your sister bought you last Christmas that are TOTALLY not your taste but are to good to be donated.
• The coat you bought in London for the coldest winter day that you rarely get a chance to wear in Queensland.
• Those impulse buys. C’mon, we all do it!
• Items of any era – we love vintage as much as trendy!
• Items of any size.
• Items you can’t be bothered to sell online.
• Your girlfriends, sisters, workmates, mums…all the ladies you can think of that would love to update their wardrobes!
Retain for Vinnies:
• Items that you would be too ashamed to lend to your sister.
• Items of poor quality or in dubious condition – again, bring quality to receive quality!
How To Swap:
• Swap up to 8 fashion items (10 items at Designer Addiction swaps) – these include clothes and accessories.
• We screen garments upon entry to maintain the quality for all swappers. This check-in process can take up to one hour at the start of each exchange event.
• We open the swap so that all fashionistas start at once.
• Whilst browsing the racks, please be mindful not to hoard items – someone else may be eyeing off those vintage heels too!
• However, also keep in mind that this is not a shop in that no two items will be alike. If you see something you like, grab it and try it on. If it's no good, pop it back on the rack. If you love it...don't let it go!
• Once you have your lovely ‘new’ wardrobe, proceed to the check-out to pay for it with your tokens.
Swappers, please be advised that online tickets are $25 and tickets at the door are $30 each. Keep a look out on our Facebook page for ticketing promotions.
Bring all your items to the event in a bag that is disposable or you wouldn't mind someone else taking home. We take all the bags at check-in and then pop your 'new' clothes in them once you've checked-out.
Online ticket sales close at 4pm on the day of each swap event. If you have not pre-purchased a ticket before this time, please purchase one at the venue.
