VOLUNTEER ROLE
So you want to be involved in the Brisbane Clothing Exchange? I don’t blame you! If you are interested in volunteering as an Event Assistant please read on. If you like what you read, then contact us to arrange an informal interview.
Event Assistants are involved in, but not limited to:
• Helping bump-in and set up - erecting clothing racks etc
• Taking names and details of swappers as they arrive
• Hanging and displaying clothes as they are checked-in by swappers
• Keeping the exchange area neat and tidy whilst the swap is in progress
• Offering assistance to swappers
• Bumping-out - helping dismantle racks etc
• …and any other simple tasks that may arise.
For your assistance you will receive:
• Light refreshments
• An ‘adult beverage’
• First pick at any remaining fashion items, once the swap is over, before they are sent to Vinnies
And, if you volunteer for three or more events…
• We will happily write you a reference outlining your dedication and participation in the BCE events
• We will give you a FREE double pass to a future exchange of your choice!
Please note, because events are held in a licensed venue, all volunteers must be over the age of 18 (proof of age required).
